Raku Matcha was inspired by a trip to Japan and a newfound love for matcha.
The experience of discovering its vibrant flavours, natural energy, and the traditions behind its preparation sparked a passion to bring this authenticity back to the UK.
Upon returning home, the vision was to share the true essence of Japanese matcha—its unmatched quality and craftsmanship—with others.

Our matcha is made from hand-picked, first-flush leaves grown in the shade and crafted with traditional methods to highlight its natural sweetness, rich umami and smooth texture.Our selection includes:
- Hikari: Bright and smooth with naturally sweet and umami-rich flavours, perfect for traditional preparation.
- Shogun: Bold and robust with a deeper umami profile, ideal for matcha lattes or recipes that call for a stronger flavour.
- Hojicha: Roasted green tea with a warm, nutty and comforting taste that is naturally low in caffeine.
