WHY RAKU MATCHA · 私たちの約束
Four things we do the same way, every order.
I·鮮度·Freshness
Our Uji tea house mills each month. We pack in London each week. Most tins reach you within weeks of milling, while the colour is still bright and the taste still sweet.
II·英国·UK delivery
Below £18, delivery is a flat £2. Every order is sent within 48 hours on Royal Mail 48, so most parcels reach you just a few days after ordering.
III·米国·US delivery
Tracked airmail from London, typically 5 to 7 working days. Every US order ships duty-paid. You pay the price you see at checkout, with no customs invoice on the doorstep and no extra charges on delivery.
IV·環境·Sustainability
Metal tins made to be kept and refilled, and the rest recyclable. Want just a refill pouch? Leave a note at checkout and we will happily send one on its own.
宇治·FROM UJI · KYOTO
We work with one tea house in Uji. They've been making matcha for over two hundred years. Each batch is milled at their mill, then flown to London where we pack weekly. Every tin opens within weeks of milling.

Hikari changed how I think about matcha. Smoother than anything I tried in Kyoto.
Sarah O. · London · on Hikari
Smooth and creamy matcha, great with just water or made as a latte. Has an authentic flavour and isn't bitter at all.
E.S.P · UK · on Shōgun
A really lovely mellow Hōjicha, roasted and nutty taste which froths up beautifully to make it creamy and satiating with every sip.
Fahm · UK · on Hōjicha
Really nice whisk, good quality and makes a really nice froth when whisking the matcha.
Katie · UK · on the Chasen

03·石臼
Milled in small monthly batches at the Uji tea house.
04·包装
Hand-packed in our London studio every week, then sealed and shipped immediately.
BOWLS · KIYOMIZU WARE · KYOTO
Our bowls are made by T. Nishikawa & Co., a century-old Kiyomizu Ware kiln in Kyoto. Each piece is shaped by hand and finished with layered glazes that create keshiki, a landscape of colour drawn from Kyoto's seasons.

THE KIT
A WORD FROM THE FOUNDER · 創業者より
During my time travelling in Japan, I stumbled across a small family-run tea shop in Kyoto. A hundred years old, selling only the finest matcha, made from the finest tencha.
The family invited me in to try their matcha. It was nothing like anything I'd had at home. I knew straight away it was too good not to share with the world.
That trip is what led me to start Raku Matcha. To bring the same authentic taste of Japan to matcha lovers, new and old.
