How we drink ours
Iced matcha, straight up
Hikari whisked smooth, poured over ice with cold water. The cleanest way to drink matcha cold. No milk, no sweetener needed.
Ingredients
- 3g Hikari matcha
- 60ml hot water, 80°C
- 200ml cold water
- Ice
Method
- 01 Sift 3g of Hikari into a warm bowl. Whisk with 60ml hot water at 80°C until a smooth froth forms.
- 02 Fill a tall glass with ice.
- 03 Add 200ml of cold water.
- 04 Pour the matcha over the ice and stir gently.
Best on a hot morning, when milk feels heavy. Use a high-grade matcha here, because nothing is hiding it.
