Iron glaze, hand-thrown.
Hand-thrown in Kyoto by T. Nishikawa & Co. and finished with a deep iron glaze that pools oxblood at the foot and lifts to copper at the rim. Each piece is one-of-a-kind, fired in small monthly batches at their Kiyomizu kiln.

Pat dry with a soft cloth and leave the bowl rim-up to finish drying in air.

Pour hot water onto a warmed bowl, not a cold one, and the glaze will hold for years.
